Immersed in Music
From my 17- hour week consumption of music, it fulfills my hunger for meaningful lyrics, dancing tunes, and calming tones, which have a positive impact on me. To start with, I yearn for meaningful lyrics to connect with. This comes from a wide range of music, from Country to Rap, I can connect to the deeper meaning the artist is trying to get across. These passionate songs help me get through difficult times, by listening to someone going through the same experience, it helps to sooth the pain. Music also helps me with other emotions besides sadness, like, for example, happiness. These songs would include Uptown Funk and Shut up and Dance. These songs are contagious and I can't help but dance to them. When I'm happy or need to get happy, I look to these kinds of songs to make me happy and put me in a good mood. Besides meaningful and dancing songs, I couldn't live without calming songs. This would include songs like Amazed, Say You Do, and Wild Child. These songs help me to calm me down and keep me in a mellow mood, helping me in a high- stress situation.
