Fixated on Films
My 5- hour week consumption of films satisfy my craving for romantic stories, hysterical plot lines, and sad endings, which lead towards a positive affect on me. To begin with, a large amount of movies that I watch are romance, like The Notebook, P.S. I Love You, and How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days. These movies allow me to be engaged with the actors and actresses and feel the same emotions. They help me to relate to my personal life yet also take me into a fairy tale. On the other hand, I like to watch movies that make me laugh like Elf and Bridesmaids. By watching these movies, it provides me with laughter which helps to lift my mood. Aside from watching romantic and comical movies, I also like to watch sad movies. These would include Stepmom and My Sister's Keeper. These help me by being able to relate to my own life and help me cope. Also, it assists me when I'm in a sad mood and need to cry. Finally, I feel my media consumption is well- balanced, for I am able to cope with my emotions through films, forming me into a stronger individual.
